VSLO (Visiting Student Learning Opportunities)
VSLO is an application hosted by the AAMC which allows students to apply for 4th year away electives. Most, but not all, medical schools use VSLO.
Applying for an away rotation requires that the student and the Office of Records and Registration work together to upload the required documentation to VSLO. Please note: We require a minimum of 3-5 business days to process all of your requested documents. If you know of a particular deadline for an application, please request documents as soon as you know these dates by email to ams-records@brown.edu.
- Student is responsible for: immunizations, CV, photograph, official transcript (if required).
- AMS Records is responsible for: verification of completion of core clerkships, HIPAA training, criminal background check, unofficial transcript, and releasing applications when notified by student, etc.
